Body sized coolers
Every person laughs when I say that we need a "body - sized" cooler. This accurate description is the perfect example of a complete description in project managment. Nobody has said "how many cubic feet would that be?" or "What color should it be".
Instantly, every person on the team knows what I say when I talk of a "body sized cooler".
What adjectives are you using on your projects to perfectly and accurately describe your project requirements? What is a "body sized cooler" in your world?

Great post. One other thought is to start to use hours to indicate how much time a project has left instead of days.
Somehow knowing that you only have 72 hours left make you work harder than knowing that you have 3 days...

Dr. Jim,
Thank you for the comment.
I agree that you are more focused when you realize that time is running out and compare it to the rate of work.
On a side note: I wonder why people purchase body-sized coolers? Who has a need for body sized coolers? I am not sure that I want to know too much about why people need body-sized coolers :)
